Julie leads on overall strategic development of INASP’s programmes. Julie is a professional librarian with more than twenty years of experience and a focus on ‘information for development’. In the past fifteen years she has worked extensively in Africa, including six years with the British Council in Nairobi and seven in Zimbabwe. As well as managing libraries, Julie has worked as a lecturer and consultant. Prior to joining INASP, Julie was Head of Library at the Institute of Development Studies.

Florence MirembeFlorence Mirembe

International Health Sciences University, Kampala

Florence is a Librarian at International Health Sciences University.  She has worked mainly as an E-resources librarian with special interest in digital libraries and preservation of digital content. She is also the Vice- Chairperson of the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries which promotes access to e-resources to support education and research within universities and other research institutions. Florence also works as a Licensing and Negotiating coordinator for Uganda under Eifl (Electronic Information for Libraries). She holds a Master degree in Information Science from Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences in Norway.

Dr MazedDr Mazed

Bangladesh Academy of Science

Mohammed Abdul Mazed has been directing the administration of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS), a peak professional organization of scientists widely reputed at home and abroad since May 2006. One of the main objectives of BAS is to promote excellence in science education and research at all levels of Academic and Research and Development (R&D) organizations of Bangladesh. With educational background in mechanical engineering and agriculture, Dr. Mazed started his career as a professional engineer, faculty member and later on retired as the Director General of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute. He contributed in founding a private university named Southeast University in Bangladesh as Registrar.Since 2007, Dr. Mazed started for the 1st time coordinating the Bangladesh INASP-PERii Consortium (BIPC) the e-Resources network amongst the universities and R&D organizations throughout Bangladesh. Thus Dr. Mazed is very known amongst the researchers, teachers and the taught, and library professionals of his country.

Theodosia AdanuTheodosia Adanu

Senior Assistant Librarian
Balme Library, University of Ghana

Theodosia is a Senior Assistant Librarian at the Balme Library, University of Ghana. She is the Electronic Resources Librarian and oversees the Carnegie- funded Research Commons. Her job responsibilities include liaising with IT personnel to ensure constant access to databases, instruction in the use of these databases and related research topics.  She was a member of the Library Automation implementation team which led to the automation of the University of Ghana library System in 2006.  She has a keen interest in instructing in information search & research skills and has done so for different Associations of academics and professionals. Her research interests are in Library Automation, Continuing Professional Development and Management and Use of E-resources. She was involved in the INASP/PERI travel workshops as a co-facilitator and facilitator in the early 2000s.She is a product of the University of Ghana where she obtained her first degree in languages and a Post-Graduate Diploma and MPhil in Library Studies.
