Publishers for Development meeting, Tuesday 11 July 2017
Oxford Spires Hotel, Oxford
Register for the 2017 PfD meeting here.
Research is vital to fight hunger, climate change, disease, inequality and other global challenges. INASP believes that locally generated knowledge and solutions are key to solving local development challenges.
How can publishers, librarians and researchers work together to support the use, production and sharing of research in developing countries?
The 2017 Publishers for Development Conference will explore this question with a programme of international speakers from publishers, country representatives from the South and others involved in research information provision, access and uptake
INASP will be sponsoring participants from our consortia partners in Ghana (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries, Ghana – CARLIGH), Kenya (Kenya Information and Library Services Consortium – KLISC), Uganda (Consortium of Uganda University Libraries – CUUL) and Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe University Libraries Consortium – ZULC) to attend the conference.
The winners of the Research4Life/INASP advocacy competition have also received a sponsorship to attend the Publishers for Development meeting as well as the Research4Life General Partners Meeting.
