Publishers for Development conference 2015

The 2015 Publishers for Development conference will take place in London, UK on Tuesday 30 June 2015 starting at 9.30am at Charles Darwin House and the theme will ask the question of How can we work responsibly in developing countries?

The 2015 conference will look into principles for how publishers can engage with developing countries in a responsible manner. The outcome of the conference will be a set of guidelines for responsible engagement which publishers can subscribe to. The guidelines will be discussed and developed through presentations and discussion during the conference.

This one-day conference is collegial in style and is open to those involved in information provision, access and uptake. The 2015 conference will be especially geared to those in positions to influence strategies for working with developing countries. It will enable attendees to share experiences, learn about what’s happening in other parts of the world and establish new relationships with colleagues.

INASP’s Jon Harle recently wrote a blog post on the topic of responsible engagement and a leaflet summarizing the key issues was distributed at the recent UKSG conference. We are interested to hear your thoughts and experiences. Join the conversation using the hashtag #inaspPrinciples.
